Hey! Hey, Satyr?, you might ask. How do I set up one of those wonderful thread titles? What with the crazy parentheses and the numbers and what not?

Well, I am glad you asked. o:

Here at Shuri Pura, we have a format for dating and tagging your threads. Take a gander at this bad boy:

[01.07, 0500] Fangs and Formalities [Nousha, O]

What does this nonsense mean?

The bit at the front is called the timestamp. It is divided like so:

01 - the first number is your month. '01' means 'Amulat', the first month of the calendar year. Shuri Pura has 13 months. For more info about timekeeping, please see the wiki article.

07 - the second number is the day. So, this thread takes place on the 7th of Amulat.

0500 - this is the time of day. You can timestamp your thread with the military hour, or the more vague time of day, such as 'early morning' instead of '0500'. The Sular is set on a timed dimmer, so the light within Shuri Pura brightens and dims as the day passes, similar to an 'earthly' day.

Fangs and Formalities - this is just the fancy thread title. Snazzy, right?

[Nousha, O] - this stamp designates the characters allowed to be involved. Including a specific character (in this case, Nousha Ugra) in this tag means that the thread involves them specifically. The 'O' says that the thread is also open to all other players.

Threads can be tagged in the following ways:

O: Open threads are intended for anyone to join.

IO: Invite Only means that only designated characters can join. This is usually only used if the thread occurs in a private place or is very plot sensitive.

E: Event threads are ship-wide events, created by mods and admins, that all characters are encouraged to take part in. These usually relate to something "big" for the ship, such as a religious holiday or a large-scale incident.

L: Literature threads are a piece of canon, stand-alone fiction relating to a character. These can be set at anytime in the character's life and usually explore facets of their characterization that cannot be expressed in regular posts. OOC comments are sometimes welcome, depending on the author.

I hope this helped! If you have any questions, PM an admin. We're here to please. Like a Star @ heaven
